After my great ride to the Clun Valley last weekend, there will be a bit of a gap now until I can get out and do another long one. Its in the diary for Saturday 29th September to Ironbridge this time. I’m going to have to make do with commutes and Zwift for now 🙁
I think I’m probably done for 100 milers this year so I’ll begin to wind them down to 100km rides as we head into Autumn and Winter and the days get shorter.
This one I’ve planned is about 130km and takes a lumpy route out to Kinver, crossing the River Severn at Upper Arley and skirting Bewdley before heading up the Severn Valley via Highley, Chelmarsh, straight through Bridgnorth and onto Ironbridge for a stop. I climb out of the Severn gorge again and head back via Sutton Maddock, the Rabbit run, Halfpenny Green and back through Kinver and the lanes home. Nothing too epic about this one just some steep climbs in and out of the Severn Valley.
Can’t wait to pick up a pork pie from Ironbridge. Handmade and taste awesome!
Should be a great day out in the saddle again.
