Autumn is coming

Ironbridge Update

I’ve been in the maps again and planning and refining some more future rides.

My last blog previewed my next ride coming up at the end of the month to Ironbridge. I’ve spent some time refining this one since so its more of a loop now and doesn’t retrace any roads already ridden on the day but still trying to keep it on relatively quiet roads.

I’ve now looped it through Stourport and Bewdley where it picks up my original route via Highley and Chelmarsh and onwards to Ironbridge. I’ve called it Ironbridge Gorgeous for a laugh! Its an undulating 125km which could be a stiff test if Autumn arrives and I have to do it on the winter bike.

The return leg climbs out of the Ironbridge Gorge and tracks back via Sutton Maddock, the Rabbit run and skirts Kidderminster through the lanes back to base.

Should be a cracking day out, even just for the pork pie at Ironbridge! Nom!

I’ve already been working on a routes for October and November too. I’ve got Sunday 14 October and Saturday 10 November pencilled in for these. I’ve called October’s ride Bushcombe Party and Malvern Madness for November. I’ll post a preview of these rides shortly

All my ride dates of the past and future are on my Rides page which I keep updated with links to the relevant posts
