C25K – Week #1, Day #1

I went to bed early last night. Got woke by the fireworks at midnight but enjoyed a healthy 8hrs sleep with no hangover.

Today was Day #1 of my attempt at Couch to 5K. A 5 min warm up and then alternate 1 min run + 90 secs walking then a cool down. I only actually ran for 8 mins but my quads were pretty sore. It’s clear I can’t run for shit. So plenty of work to do. Gently does it.

I also weighed myself for the start of my intermittent fasting this week. I’m bang on 70kg. Heavier than I thought but motivation to lose 10% in the coming weeks. It’s hard to compute I used to race at 60kg and went as low as 57kg. Run fat boy run!

I’ve promised myself new running shoes if I can make it to Week #4
