C25K – Week #1, Day #3

Yesterday I completed the first week of my Couch to 5K plan but I had to do it on the treadmill after my first post-xmas gym class – Cardio Step. Brutal.

I’m suffering today. My glutes are absolutely battered and it’s hard to sit down not helped by a 50km ride this morning but I did treat myself to a hot bath and some porridge afterwards.

The intermittent fasting is still going ok. Yesterday I skipped lunch for a change and treated myself to a veg curry takeaway last night. The weight went up slightly but I’m still on track for a kilo loss this week. Fluctuations are normal if you weigh yourself daily and rewards are what makes it worthwhile!

I’ve just been food shopping for the first time since before Christmas and it’s surprising how much shit you walk past when you decide to eat healthily. No pizzas, crisps, beer, wine, pork pies or sausage rolls. My trolley looked a bit empty but I saved a packet.
