Now my back is better I’ve been able to look into booking my usual annual week away cycling somewhere in the UK this June.
Last year I tied in the Cambrian Mountains Gravel Epic Ride on the Saturday and then carried on to my digs for the rest of the week just south of the Elan Valley. There I managed to tick off the Devils Staircase and enjoyed some great cycling in the area.

I enjoyed the gravel ride so much (it was an epic day out!) and the local riding, I’m going back but this time I’m venturing deeper into SW Wales nearer Cardigan. In fact it’s my mate Chris’ manor these days as he’s retired there so no doubt I’ll be catching up with him again for a ride too.
I’ve booked an old milking parlour down some quiet lane. Wifi and a pub within a mile are the only things I need. I don’t think it’s as hilly as last year but definitely not flat either plus the coast is within reach on the bike this time too. I’m really looking forward to exploring the area which brings back childhood memories going on holiday down that way with my mom and dad.
