Next week we’re off to Canada again for a city break in Toronto but you get a funny look when you say you’re going for a long weekend to Canada.
Canada is vast. Mind-boggingly massive. Our friends live in Alberta just outside Calgary, where we normally go but that’s at least another 4hrs on a plane or a 32 hour, 2000 mile drive. So yes, a long weekend that side of the country can justifiably raise eyebrows, Toronto with a 6-7hr flight time, is no different to, say, New York but people don’t question that!
So we’re going for a long weekend. Get over it!

However, only being there for a long weekend means you have to be economical with the time and pack as much in as you can. That’s where my personal travel consultant Sally comes in. I just leave it to her 🙂 The truth is, other than going to Niagra Falls and maybe finding a bar (with a dartboard!) on the first afternoon (rare downtime) I have no idea what we’re doing lol. Is that bad?

In other news, Sally has just booked us on a cruise to Alaska next year. Mental. I’ll talk more about that soon.
