The Brampton Valley Bash

Sun 20 Sep 2026 @ 10:00 am

Brampton Valley Bash Logo

The Brampton Valley Bash returns for 2026 after a successful opener last season. This was the only route I couldn’t ride last year due to illness so I’m really keen to return and give it the go it deserves so I’ve selfishly left the route unchanged. Routemaster Ed has conjured up a gravel classic in an area he knows well. Spanning two counties, this one packs in a real mixed bag of terrain to enjoy.

Gravelton Events are not official or sanctioned. They are self-supported group rides. Same route, same day. It’s just you, your bike and your mates having fun.

All riders who wish to join me on a ride agree to adhere to my code of conduct. Have fun and share your ride with everyone else in the community afterwards.

The Route

There aren’t any serious climbs on here therfore the distance is more manageable so no short course for this one.

The route initially heads out of Brixworth Country Park along the banks of Pitsford Water to Halcot then it’s northbound via Walgrave and Old to pick up The Brampton Valley Way to Market Harborough

**IMPORTANT**
Lights required for two tunnels you’ll be riding through

Riders have refreshment opportunities before they jump on the Grand Union Canal on the otherside of town. It’s off at Debdale Wharf then westbound through Gumley to Laughton. From here riders turn southbound for home enjoying a curated selection of byways en-route back onto The Brampton Valley Way southbound skirting Blixworth before a detour NW back to the start.

You can download GPS files from the Gravelton GPS Folder in any format you want or use the Komoot link below
