The Broadway Grinder
October 19 @ 10:00 am
Intro
I’m not going to lie, The Broadway Grinder packs a punch. Despite plenty of gentle, quiet lanes to eat up the miles , it’s littered with tasty gravel elevation that will sap any legs. The reward for conquering this one are beautiful views and bragging rights on Strava. It’s another #newevent for 2025 based on a route I rode back in 2021.

The Route
The route heads south from Broadway and quickly takes riders up onto Cotswold escarpement via Buckland and across the top via Winchcombe Way to pickup some fast single track on the Campden Lane sector.
After popping out at it’s end, riders then descend steeply to Hailes Abbey. From here it’s back up to the top via the Cotswold Way and Farmcote. The alpine-esque road descent to Stanway will wake riders up before the transitional road sector to cross the A46.
At Beckford the Yellow Brick Road will give riders a flavour of Bredon Hill. Then it’s Overbury, Kemerton and Westmancote before the full climb up to the tower atop Bredon Hill. Immersed in magnificent views you’ll ride the edge of the plateau east then drop off to Ashton-under-Hill.
The road to Laverton will give riders a well-earned breather before the last and steepest climb of the day to sap any energy you dared keep till the end. From here enjoy the superfast, straight descent back to Broadway from Snowshill.
