The Crimble Bimble
Sat 12 Dec 2026 @ 10:00 am
FreeI resurrected The Crimble Bimble in 2025 to great success. Over 50 riders turned out. The format worked so we’ll do it again. Again, I’ve deliberately kept the distance and climbing low to keep it social. We’ll roll at a social pace regrouping at the end of the Greenway and at the top of the climb, then it’s back to base and Bobby’s Cafe for Xmas drinks
Festive attire is optional!
Gravelton Events are not official or sanctioned. They are self-supported group rides. Same route, same day. It’s just you, your bike and your mates having fun.
All riders who wish to join me on a ride agree to adhere to my code of conduct. Have fun and share your ride with everyone else in the community afterwards.
How to Enter
Entry is FREE. Just turn up but I do recommend you subscribe to my newsletter to receive the latest route and event info.
The Route
No short course for this one as it’s a manageable distance and not too technical
The route rolls away from Bobby’s Cafe at the start of the Greenway and tracks SW on the disused railway line. We alight at Long Marston and ride over to Mickleton and then climb up the side of Lark Stoke offroad via Hidcote Manor. From here we continue offroad over the top and then drop into Ilmington to pick up another trail before heading west and back to the Greenway via Lower Quinton. In Lower Quinton its left to Upper Quinton then across the B4632 to pickup the latest section of the Greenway via Meon Vale. Then we return back to base via the original Greenway for a well earned cuppa in the cafe.
You can download GPS files from the Gravelton GPS Folder any format you want or use the Komoot link below
