**Please note, the date for this ride may change

Riding back with a lady on The Crimble Bimble in 2025, we got chatting and agreed it would be great to do that route in the dry, in the Summer so I’ve made it happen with a twist. To avoid Father’s Day which is the actual Summer Solstice (June 21), I’ve opted for the week after. The distance and elevation are really low, just one climb to test you.

Gravelton Events are not official or sanctioned. They are self-supported group rides. Same route, same day. It’s just you, your bike and your mates having fun.

All riders who wish to join me on a ride agree to adhere to my code of conduct. Have fun and share your ride with everyone else in the community afterwards.

The Route

No short course for this one as it’s a manageable distance and not too technical

The route rolls away from Bobby’s Cafe at the start of the Greenway and tracks SW on the disused railway line. We alight at Long Marston and carry on through Meon Vale to cross the road to Upper Quinton at the B4362. From here it’s Lower Quinton then we pick up the next trail on the outskirts of Ilmington before the climbing out of the village. At the top we jump onto a couple of bridleways before descending to Hidcote Manor offroad. Then its a fast descent to Mickleton via Bakers Hill and then lanes back to the Greenway and back to the cafe.

You can download GPS files from the Gravelton GPS Folder any format you want or use the Komoot link below
