I broke with tradition this weekend and popped the Christmas tree up in November! WTF! It’s a valid criticism and the decision did bother me because I am a verdant hater of the commercial aspects of it all starting in September but I do like to enjoy the month and the festive build up to it too.
Only a tree though. No decorations or lights hanging off the house. Not my thing.
So, the reasons. Three reasons.
#1 Dan was around this weekend. It’s nice to erect the tree as a group.
#2 We are going away next weekend when we would have normally done it. More on that in a bit.
#3 It’s Mr Cole’s first Xmas and we suspected he might be interested in the tree and decorations too much so gave ourselves a week to school him in other pursuits instead
Long Weekend
Next weekend we are off to Malaga for a long weekend with friends. We booked it this time last year and all of a sudden it’s upon us. For those that don’t know, Malaga is actually quite famous for it’s lights and market. Something like in the Top 10 in the world. Who knew eh?
I’ve done my normal thing and let Sally crack on and plan and I just rock up but I have taken a quick peek this time so I know what to expect and to be honest it does look amazing and can’t wait to go now.
Another Sally Ward – Not Just Travel win I think.
It was big switch on last weekend
Wow! Malaga would not have been my first choice of Xmas destinations for sure 😱
Pictures taken with my new Pixel 8. Very good but not much different to the 6 or 7 tbh
