No Invite

One of the companies I’ve helped build over the past couple of years to become the No#1 in the UK in it’s space could win an award tonight but I didn’t get invited πŸ˜•

Bike Services UK is a unique bike delivery service, delivering bikes fully-built and ready to ride. Our growth over the past couple of years has been exponential with some of the biggest brands and retailers in the UK seeing the benefits this type of service offers.

I won’t bore you with the details why, you can find out for yourself on the BSUK website. I’m just a tiny bit dismayed I wasn’t invited or even asked if I wanted to attend to The BikeBiz Awards night tonight where we’ve been shortlisted in The Best Retailer Services category.

For a company less than 3 years old, just making the shortlist is an achievement I think, to win would be awesome and a reflection of the hard work everyone on the team has put in. From my point of view, I think the work I’ve personally done to build our portal and the bespoke integrations with our tracking and planning software and our CRM have been integral to our success and has facilitated the growth we’ll be lauding later. I naively thought it deserved a seat at the table. And to rub salt in the wounds it’s in Birmingham too, just up the road.

It sounds like sour grapes, it’s not. I know how these things work, I just wanted to celebrate the recognition with others. There a 3 senior figures and 2 are going. I’d have even bought myself a ticket @ Β£50. I can only assume the free tickets as nominees were limited and we weren’t prepared to buy anymore, Hey-ho and good luck tonight guys! 🀞
