Small World

Dan’s flown to Japan today. Lucky boy. Holiday of a lifetime and somewhere he’s wanted to go and experience for a few years now. He’ll tick of a lot of stuff while he’s there. Tokyo, Mt Fuji, Kyoto, the bullet train etc. It’s a fab itinerary put together by my in-house Travel Consultant 😉 for him and his mom.

He flew from London Heathrow with Etihad Airways this morning and stops in Abu Dhabi first. Now, I don’t know if you are like me but I love tracking planes on Flightradar24. I’ll happily sit outside in the garden and watch the planes fly over and use the map to see where they are flying from and too. There’s always a new one or a surprise in there somewhere.

Today is no different tracking Dan’s flight but it’s only when you zoom out on the map you realise how absolutely bonkers the number of planes there are in the air at anytime. I don’t know if the world is small because of how many there are or big to be able to accomodate them but it’s mental.

just bonkers
