The Route

How to download a Gravelton Route

This 58km (36 miles) route leaves Hicks Lodge, crosses the road and warms riders up up via some it’s dedicated trails and then out into the lanes to cross the A42 to Packington. Riders pick up Spring Lane and wind their out through Coalville to the most eastern point of the ride before heading back west via Whitwick and Swannington. More trails beckon around Lount and back over the A42 again to head west skirting the northern side Ashby de la Zouch before the route dips SW and back to Hicks Lodge via Conkers.

The Rules

  1. Take your litter home
  2. Be self-sufficient. There is no backup on the day
  3. Shut any gates
  4. It’s not a race, it’s a day out on the bike.
  5. Be courteous to other trail users. The route is open to the public and it gets narrow in places so be prepared to share your space nicely if you have to. A bell is highly recommended.
  6. Complaints. That’s a you problem. I’m not interested.

Parking

The car park can get busy on weekends and is pay and display.
