If not ordering a new bike is enough to make me happy, friends and readers of my blog will know of my affection for oval chainrings, in particular sub compacts.
When I bought my Ribble CGR I took my Shimano 105 compact (50/34) chainset off and fitted a 46/30 GRX 2x chainset which has been fantastic The only negative aspect of it was the inability to obtain GRX compatible 2x oval rings.
Fast forward a couple of years and I’m ecstatic Rotor have now brought some out. 1x rings have been around a while but 2x has been a wait but now it’s over. 46/30 oval here I come
